Franco Harris Memorabilia

Franco Harris is one of the most consequential players in NFL history — and the man at the center of the single greatest play the sport has ever produced. On December 23, 1972, in an AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Oakland Raiders, Harris scooped up a deflected pass inches from the ground and ran it in for a 60-yard touchdown as time expired. The Immaculate Reception, as it came to be known, launched the Pittsburgh Steelers dynasty and remains the most replicated, most debated, and most celebrated play in professional football. Harris went on to run for 11,950 career yards — an NFL record at retirement — earned four Super Bowl rings with the Steelers (Super Bowl IX, X, XIII, XIV), and was named Super Bowl IX MVP after rushing for 158 yards in the championship win over the Minnesota Vikings. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.

Harris passed away on December 20, 2022 — just two days before the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception and one day before his jersey was to be retired by Penn State, where he played college football. His death transformed his already-significant memorabilia market. Autographs signed during his lifetime are now finite by definition, and the demand for authenticated Harris signatures — particularly on Steelers helmets and game-type items — has increased markedly since 2022. Pristine Marketplace carries over 26 authenticated Franco Harris pieces, all signed before his passing, each verified by Pristine Authentic and at least one of our six third-party authentication partners. Every item includes a Certificate of Authenticity with tamper-evident hologram and is backed by our 60-day return policy.

Owning a Franco Harris autograph is owning a piece of NFL history — signed by one of the game's greatest running backs and the man who made the most famous play in football. These are not items that will be replenished. Browse our authenticated collection below.

Is Franco Harris autographed memorabilia a good investment?

Franco Harris's death in December 2022 made his autographs a finite, non-replenishable asset. As a Pro Football Hall of Famer, four-time Super Bowl champion, and the central figure in the Immaculate Reception — arguably the most famous play in NFL history — Harris's authenticated signatures represent some of the most historically significant Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia available. Authentication provenance and condition are the primary value drivers, and demand has been consistent since his passing.
